The weather’s starting to get colder each day. Inevitably, winter is going to be around soon. Welcome back, winter jacket and winter boots!
It doesn’t look like it’s going to snow early though. I remember when I first arrived here in 2007. The snow dropped as early as third week of November! And I was told that we had the worst snow storm in 2007!
How time flies so fast. I already spent more than four years of my life in Canada and so much has happened in between. But one thing’s for sure though. I was never and never would be a hockey fan as compared to being a basketball fanatic. I still am!
I met new faces, have new friends. Some were mere friends and some I could consider true friends. These true friends are like gems worth keeping for life. But I miss my old friends and wherever they are in different corners of the world, God bless them for always.
I’ve grown to love different coffee flavours from different coffee shops, too. Though I remain a Starbucks fan, I can’t say NO to Second Cup’s Mochachino and Timothy’s CafĂ© Mocha Latte Bene and Tim Horton’s Extra Large Triple-Triple coffee!
I regained my passion for writing as well. I now have my own blog where I just put into writing all my ramblings about almost anything. That’s me!
My relationship with my mom has improved over the years. We used to not meet eye to eye, the relationship a bit strained. There seems to be that unbreakable, impenetratable wall. However, as distance kept us apart, slowly, we miss each other and whenever I get the chance to speak with her over the phone or come visit her during vacation days, our conversations are nicer, more open, and our language’s much more endearing. We buried the past, never to bring it up again—all the hurts that kept us apart all those times. I love her more each day. And I pray that she lives a longer, happy life with all her grand children and us, her kids.
I don’t know what the future brings for me. But I am hopeful and am looking forward to what HE has planned for me. I know that HE has good plans for my life. Plans to make me prosper together with my family, turn my tears into laughter, my broken heart to be fixed and will give me my God’s Greatest Gift, that special someone, my future husband. I’m giddy, so excited about this events happening in my life. I feel so blessed.
